Before buying an electric car charger to charge the battery in your garage, gather the information that will allow the installer to assess your case. Good preparation prevents choosing the location or power solely based on the figure on the box.

1. Start with your car and your routine
Note the vehicle model, its maximum AC charging power, and where its charging port is located. Add the kilometers you usually drive and how many hours it remains parked. This data helps assess the actual charging need; the charger cannot exceed what the car supports.
2. Check the cable reach
Park as you normally do and measure the distance to the charging port, leaving room to connect comfortably. Take into account doors, obstacles, and the place to store the connector. The two Pulsar Max units in our store come with a five-meter fixed Type 2 cable: compare that length with your parking space before deciding.
3. Prepare the professional's visit
Provide photographs of the parking space and the location of the electrical panel, without opening or tampering with it. Explain if the space is in a home or a community garage and if there are available conduits. The installer must study the route, the power supply, the protections, and the necessary documentation. This guide does not replace that study nor serve as wiring instructions.
4. Request a quote with clear line items
- Exact equipment and included accessories.
- Materials, planned route, and installation work.
- Protections and power management system, if applicable.
- Documentation, commissioning, and testing.
- What additional actions or works are excluded.
ITC-BT-52 provides for different schemes and technical documentation before executing the installation. It is up to the professional to determine what is applicable to your case. In a community garage, also consult the corresponding procedures before starting work.
5. Decide the power with data
Do not assume that you need to increase the contracted power or that a 22 kW unit will always charge at that speed. Review the comparison between 7.4 and 22 kW with the information from your installation. Dynamic management functions require a compatible meter, sold separately.
At Charge Factory, the installation and additional accessories are not included with the charger. Check the product sheets of the 7.4 kW single-phase Pulsar Max and the 22 kW three-phase Pulsar Max, or contact us to clarify the equipment features.
After planning the installation, you can estimate the cost of each charge.

Check the length before choosing the location
Consult how to measure the route of a five-meter Type 2 cable before fixing the location of the charger.
